Life Members
Over the years, the Association has been honoured to be
served by many dedicated JPs who have contributed time and effort as members of
the Association, and many also as members of the Executive.
The Association has chosen to recognise a small number
of these dedicated members by granting them life membership of the Association. Life members have shown an extraordinary
commitment to the Association over a significant period of time and have
contributed in a manner that:
- results in substantial, demonstrable and positive
changes to the Association; and
- required substantial and commendable personal
input.
Many of our honorary life members were foundation
members of the Association. The
following members have been granted honorary life membership:
- Roy Hancock JP (dec), Foundation Member (1999)
-
Jenny Hancock JP, Foundation Member (1999)
- Lionel Davies JP BEM (dec), Foundation Member
(1999)
- Ron Morris JP (dec), Foundation Member (2000)
- Norman
Henry JP (dec), Long-serving member of the Executive Committee (2000)
- Frank Dunster JP, Long-serving member of the
Executive Committee (2001)
- Alf Robbie JP, Long-serving member of the
Executive Committee (2003)
- Dr Peter Burrows OAM JP, Foundation Member (2008)
Executive Office Bearers
Many JPs have served on the Executive Committee of the ACTJPA since its inception in 1990. We thank them for their dedication to the Association and their service.
Recognition of Service
The Association has been pleased to recognise the contributions of many members with a Certificate of Recognition of Service (for ten years loyalty, devotion, and financial membership of the Association). We are pleased to note that this is a growing fraternity.
In 2010 we were pleased to note that many of our members had been with the Association for twenty years. To recognise the valuable and exemplary service to the community and Association such members have provide, we introduced the Certificate of Appreciation. We expect that many of our members will become eligible for this award.
Thank you to all who have helped to make the Association a vibrant and valuable community organisation.
