Upcoming Events

  • ACTJPA Executive Meeting
The next Executive meeting will be held on Wednesday, 27 January 2010 (note - the meeting is Wednesday, not the usual Tuesday is Australia Day - a public holiday), commencing at 6:30pm. The meeting will be held at the Association's office in the Theo Notaras Multicultural Centre Centre (180 London Circuit, next to the Canberra Museum and Gallery).

Members are welcome to attend - indeed, we would love to see you there.  This is your Association, and the Executive is eager to hear your views, and gain your insights.  Contact the Secretary for further information.
The Executive Committee will confirm the Seminar Program for 2010 at its January 2010 meeting. Members will be adivised as soon as practicable.  It is likely that the next Professional Development Seminar will be held in February or march 2010.  Seminars usually commence at 11:00 am, and last two hours.  It will be held in the Theo NotarasMulticultural Centre Centre.

  • Members' Lunch
We were unable to organise the planned Members' Lunch in December 2009.  This was disappointing. We will try agin early in 2010.

We have plenty of time to get your ideas to make the most of the occasion. We propose no particular emphasis on how to be a better JP, no long and boring speeches; just an opportunity to share a bit of your day with your friends.

What would you like to do?  Where would you like to go?  in previous years, we have had BBQs, and lunches - even a bit of wine exploration!  If you have some ideas, contact the Secretary or the President.

Otherwise, we'll let you know what's going on as the time approaches.
