Professional Development Seminars are one of the best ways that you as a JP can ensure that you are executing your duties in accordance with the latest legislative requirements.
They offer an opportunity to discuss real issues that have confronted, confused, and complicated JPs when undertaking their duties. It is not possible to underestimate the value of sharing experiences as a means of developing professionally in our role.
Seminars typically involve informative presentations from guest speakers, on subjects relevant to the role of JPs in the ACT community, and interactive workshops on topical issues have helped to secure a good representative attendance.
Feedback from members attending will be taken into account in organising future seminars. If you have matters we might usefully discuss at our seminars, please raise them with any of the Executive Committee. We’d also like to hear if you have ideas for guest speakers.
